Welcome to Alpha Dog Raw! 

 

We first switched to a raw food (species-appropriate) diet back in 2013. Our two boys, Thor (yellow lab) and Orpheus (Presa Canario) immediately started showing signs of improvement. They had less gas, their poops were smaller (and firmer!), their coats started to shine and their bad breath went away! Riggs (Presa Canario) came home to Canada in 2017 has been on raw his entire life. And for a dog that weighs over 115lbs, he is so full of energy! He is a bright-eyed, happy, healthy boy! These results inspired us to get involved.

In April of 2019 we registered our business as Alpha Dog Raw. Our name and our logo mean a lot to us, as Orpheus is the inspiration behind both. Orpheus has had quite the life! He was born in the Canary Islands, Spain in 2007 and moved to Phoenix, Arizona as a puppy. Orphee was trained in protection and home invasion, and knows commands in 4 different languages!

When Orphee turned four he came home to us in Canada to enjoy retirement. He was treated to a life of couches and kisses and he loved it from the start! When Orphee was six, he was diagnosed with Valley Fever. Valley fever is a fungal infection caused by coccidioides organisms. These fungi are commonly found in soil in specific regions (Arizona).

 

Unfortunately for Orphee, his spread to his bones and skull. He was in severe pain. For days he was in the hospital and on pain medication. We thought the worst. After some time, we were finally able to get his condition under control with a medication (fluconazole) that he will be on for the rest of life. So the fluconazole help to keeps his Valley Fever at low levels, and his diet ensures his immune system is strong enough to allow him the ability to live a normal, fun, healthy life ever since!

Orpheus' love for life and his desire to stay young is so inspiring! He is one of the best dogs we've ever had, and we are extremely proud to have him be forever a part of our name and logo. When we look at our logo, we think of him.

Since our boys have switched to raw, we have seen nothing but increased vitality, stamina, alertness, and energy! Some days it's like they age in reverse! 

 

We are proud to offer a Canadian sourced, hormone and antibiotic-free species-appropriate diet for your pet furry family members.

Our meals and all natural treats come from federally-inspected plants and contain only the cleanest and freshest ingredients. Our food will never contain any animal by-products or MSM (mechanically separated meat).

We follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Process) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) process from the first step of production to the finished product.
